Government Services

Our services help support federal government programs, and provide specialized research and consulting services for the United States Department of Agriculture and other federal agencies interested in the connections between agriculture, energy, and the environment.

We currently offer several farm energy audit and assessment options that comply with several programs within the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, including the Natural Resources Conservation Service's Conservation Security Program and Rural Development's Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant and loan program.

Rural Energy for America Program (REAP)

Formerly known as The Energy Title of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (also known as the Farm Bill or Section 9006), This program funds grants and loans to agricultural producers to help make energy efficiency improvements and invest in renewable energy systems.

Detailed farm energy audits are required for participation in the REAP program, and each audit needs to be tailored to the individual producer. EnSave understands the requirements and is not only able to provide the audits, but provide assistance in the application and grant writing process.

The next deadline for REAP has not yet been announced, but EnSave recommends starting your application process early. Contact EnSave at (800) 732-1399 in order to begin your REAP energy audit.

Technical Service Provider (TSP)

USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service offers Agricultural Energy Management Plans (AgEMPs) through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). An AgEMP identifies ways energy can be saved on a farm. EnSave is a Technical Service Provider (TSP) currently registered in all lower 48 states. EnSave has pricing scenarios available for both headquarters and landscape audits. Reimbursement through NRCS may vary from State to State. Please download a PDF of our flyer for more information.

If you are in need of a TSP to provide your AgEMP, please contact EnSave at 800-732-1399.
