Indiana Farm Energy Audits
EnSave is working with the Delaware County (IN) Soil and Water Conservation District to provide farm energy audits through a grant from the Ball Brothers Foundation. This program builds on a successful 2009 pilot program that provided energy audits for two Indiana farmers.
Also in 2009, EnSave trained conservation district staff in the data collection procedure for farm energy audits, and is now working to provide energy audits to dairies, livestock operations, and other farms.
The program is available to producers in Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay, Madison and Randolp[h counties. Audits cost $150, with the cost refunded if a producer installs $150 or more in energy efficiency improvements following the audit.
