Missouri Agricultural and Energy Saving Team - A Revolutionary Opportunity (MAESTRO)

EnSave is working with the Missouri Department of Agricutlure, the University of Missouri Extension, and the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority (MASBDA) to offer the MAESTRO program to Missouri livestock producers.

The program offers Energy Management Plans (EMP) for the whole farm operation, Technical Assistance (TA) for the farm, and audits for the home residence. Farmers can receive incentives up to 75% of the total project cost, not to exceed $12,000. Producers have the option of using up to $12,000 on the farm operation; $9,000 on the farm operation and $3,000 on the farm residence; or $3,000 on the farm residence only.

Farmers also have the option of receiving a 3% interest rate on financing up to $50,000 and 75% loan guarantee for loans up to $50,000.

Eligible participants are Missouri livestock producers who are not required to be permitted as a confined animal feeding operation (CAFO). Funding for the program is provided by the U.S. Department of Energy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
