North Carolina Farm Energy Efficiency Program
EnSave has contracted with the North Carolina Farm Bureau to provide farm energy audits for agricultural producers within the State. EnSave will be responsible for the initial interviews with farmers, data collection, data analysis, the development of the narrative reports, and the follow-up interviews.
EnSave's goals with this program are to educate farmers about the potential energy savings of measures recommended through the audits, and to direct farmers to funding opportunities to assist with implementing the proposed energy saving recommendations.
EnSave will be training data collectors to visit the farms being audited, in order to capture energy end-use information, including motor, ventilation, lighting, heating, cooling, and process equipment use. EnSave will also interview farmers to ask about any energy concerns they have, as well as any energy conservation or energy efficiency practices already in place. EnSave will then create a narrative audit report for each farmer, incorporating recommendations. Each audit report will include an analysis of current annual energy use, as well as energy use resulting from implementing the recommended measures.
If you are a farmer located in North Carolina and are interested in participating in this program, please call (800) 732-1399 for more information.
