Oregon Audit Program
EnSave, Inc. has partnered with four Oregon Resource Conservation and Development Councils (RC&Ds) to provide energy audits to Oregon's farmers.
As part of the partnership, EnSave has trained representatives from Cascade Pacific, Columbia-Blue Mountain, Eagle Cap, and Wy'East RC&Ds to provide data collection services for energy audits. The training included intensive classroom time, as well as hands-on experience at six area farms.
The representatives will use their knowledge to help EnSave provide the energy audits required for the USDA's Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant and loan applications. REAP awards federal grants and loans to farmers who make energy efficiency improvements and invest in renewable energy systems.
EnSave will take the data collected by the RC&D representatives and compile it into a comprehensive report that meets all the requirements of the REAP grant and loan application process. The participating Oregon RC&Ds are currently offering a special service to help farmers with the application process.
