Training
As part of our commitment to educating the agricultural community about energy efficiency, EnSave provides trainings to suit our client's specific needs.
EnSave has provided agricultural energy efficiency training to a wide audience, including utility field personnel, equipment manufacturers, equipment dealers, utility commissions, cooperative extension agents, and resource conservation and development councils.
Data Collector Training
Geared toward professionals who have a familiarity with agriculture and/or energy efficiency, this three-day course qualifies individuals as EnSave Data Collectors.
The data collector training is a combination of classroom and field experience. Each trainee receives a training manual that includes a job description, a list of tools and other necessities, data collections forms, and information about the equipment EnSave generally recommends for installation.
While in the classroom, the trainees are given in-depth, detailed information about what they need to look for while visiting a farm, and why some equipment is preferred over others when it comes to energy efficiency. The trainees then visit at least three farms for hands-on experience. The farms visited generally reflect the dominant agricultural sector of the area, and can include dairy, swine or poultry farms, beef feedlots, grain-drying facilities, field crops and greenhouses.
At the end of the three days, trainees receive certificates and officially become a Data Collector for EnSave. EnSave calls upon trained Data Collectors to aide in the development of our Farm Energy Audits. EnSave has trained over 100 data collectors in over 20 states, with additional trainings planned .
